Research Assistant II in the School of Humanities (Comparative Literature) (Ref.: 201800232) (to commence on April 2, 2018, until August 31, 2018, with the possibility of renewal for one year)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in any Arts/Humanities discipline, preferably with a Master's degree in Film, Gender, and/or Cultural Studies. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese as well as good computer skills.
The appointee will be heavily involved in research activities related to global film culture, gender and sexuality in Hong Kong film, and the cinemas of China and the Chinese diaspora. He/She will be responsible for assisting in research involving film studies; collecting, filing, transcribing and analyzing research materials; helping to organize workshops and seminars; assisting in the preparation of manuscripts for publication; supporting online teaching and other pedagogical activities; scheduling meetings and taking minutes; and performing some departmental administrative duties and other tasks as assigned.
