An Asia headquartered global bank spanning over 30 countries is looking for VP to join their Compliance Risk Assessment and Review team. Here you will provide support to both team head and compliance teams regionally, delivering risk assessment and process reviewing to meet the teams objectives. You will also be a key contact in supporting communication with both regulators and auditors along with regional/global management reporting.
This role will be key in supporting the team head's management of the CRA and testing processes with responsibilities including;
Proactively enhancing the Global Framework, and Asia Ex-Japan Guidance and processes, Leading the Asia ex-Japan CRA program (including developing/maintaining procedures & tools, developing and managing the training program, providing CRA guidance, performing actual assessments, validating and/or quality checking of assessments and action plans, consolidating and reporting results, tracking action plan status, and linking results, if appropriate, to compliance plans/programs/testing). Overseeing the smooth & proper delivery of CRA services by the Global Offshore Services team. Representing the team when CRA team presence is required. Develop and/or conduct compliance reviews and testing Assist in any risk and control processes and initiatives in AEJ Compliance.
The Successful Applicant
Ideally you will have hold a university degree and/or professional legal or accounting qualification, with 8 years of compliance, risk and control, and/or audit experience. Preferably you will hold regional exposure including at least 3 years in supervisory or project leader/manager positions. Compliance Risk Assessment experience is a plus. Strong understanding of Asia ex-Japan securities and/or banking regulations; knowledge in China and Asian securities and banking regulations an advantage.
Ideally you will hold strong analytical skills, problem solving ability and attention to details, with excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
