To validate food samples for testing nutrients in foodstuffs
To update the Nutrient Information Inquiry System (NIIS) with the new nutrient profile data on local foods
To prepare data adopted from the USDA Food Composition Database for updating the NIIS
To assist Government representatives in carrying out sampling exercises/ market survey / reality check, data processing and analysis in support of risk assessment studies, stand setting, studies on salt / sugar reduction, review of guidelines, preparation of regulatory proposal
To conduct literature search on international and national recommendations / standards of overseas countries in support of standard setting projects
To perform any other duties as assigned by the representatives.
Have a university degree from a Hong Kong university or equivalent (Degree in Dietetics / Nutrition / Food Science / Culinary Arts / Food Services Management / Food Technology / Public Health is preferred)
Have good command of MS Excel, MS Word and Chinese Word Processing
Have experience in food safety or sampling project, research project and knowledge in MS Access and SPSS statistical software is an advantage
